Form VL3 - Application for transfer of a taxi licence

Only certain SPSV licences can be transferred, and the prospective new licence holder must satisfy certain conditions before the licence can be transferred into their name. - Licences can be transferred only if the vehicle to be associated with the licence after the transfer is less than three years old. - Once transferred, the licence becomes non-transferable (that is, it cannot be sold again). - The transfer of a licence can be processed only if the licence is still active. Licences with less than one month to expiry may be returned to the current owner for renewal. - In the case of a Type A transfer (licence only), the tamper-proof discs should be removed from the vehicle and surrendered to the vehicle inspection centre. In the case of a Type B transfer (licence plus vehicle ‘package’) the tamper-proof discs must NOT be removed. - If your documentation cannot be verified online the Authority reserves to right to request copies of original documents.
