Form VL2 - renewing your vehicle licence
You are advised to start the renewal process well in advance of the expiry date of your licence to allow time to collect the necessary documentation and arrange the Licence Renewal Assessment. Renewal is granted for a period of twelve months from the expiry date of the current licence, so that there is no penalty for renewing early. If renewal is completed before the current licence expires, the standard renewal fee of €125 applies. If the licence expires before renewal is completed, a late renewal fee of €375 applies in addition to the standard renewal fee, so that the total fee is €500. Note also that it is illegal to operate the vehicle as an SPSV without a current licence.Terms and Conditions text version
