You can download a copy of the new renewal form for the vehicle licensing service (Form VL2) here. Completing this form will be a requirement when renewing your vehicle licence from January 2010 onwards.

Terms and conditions applying to the operation of a small public service vehicle (SPSV) licence: • I grant the Commission for Taxi Regulation permission to access my tax clearance certificate (TC2) online in order to verify my tax cleared position • I accept that I will be subject to the additional licence fees above if I allow myself to fall into the Expired Licence Renewal Category • The vehicle is taxed, and shall remain insured for use as a small public service vehicle during the period of validity of the licence, unless ownership is transferred • I accept that the Commission may check that my vehicle is insured as a small public service vehicle at any point during the validity of the licence • This application form must be completed by the vehicle licence holder • You must inform the Commission within 14 days if you transfer this licence. The licence holder is responsible for the renewal of this licence. • It is the licence?holder’s responsibility to notify the Commission of any change to contact details (as supplied in Section 1) • Any subsequent modifications to the licensed vehicle after vehicle initial suitability inspection may invalidate the licence • If a wheelchair accessible licence holder I confirm that all the details contained in Section 1 are true and consent to my details being added to the Wheelchair accessible licence register • The Commission will use the information provided for the purpose of administering the SPSV licensing system and in order to perform the functions assigned to the Commission by the Taxi Regulation Act 2003 as amended, including the maintenance of a public register of SPSVs. Information provided will be shared with certain authorised third parties where necessary in order to carry out our licensing function and for the purposes of law enforcement. The Commission is registered with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner and all information sharing will be performed in accordance with the Data Protection Acts 1988 and 2003 • The Commission for Taxi Regulation is authorised to collect Personal Public Service (PPS) Numbers for identification purposes only and will not be sharing same with any unauthorised third party • The operation of an SPSV licence is subject to the provisions of the Taxi Regulation Act 2003, Road Traffic Acts 1961?2006, Roads Act 2007 and any statutory instruments made thereunder.
